Hello! So happy you stopped by our little corner of the web. My name is Donna and I’m a stay-at-home mom. My now three-year-old daughter is the inspiration behind the EasyPouch product. As a first time mom, I tried all types of baby food. And when it came to one of my biggest frustrations, pouch feeding, I couldn’t find anything on the market to help prevent the mess.
My Baby Feeding Challenge
With my daughter, food pouches weren’t only a convenience, but a necessity. She refused to eat foods with protein so I fed her pouches high in protein to help round out her daily diet. I started with screw-on spoons, then graduated to screw-on nipples—neither of which prevented her from squeezing the pouch. I told my husband about the benefits of food pouches and my challenges. I knew there had to be a better way to help her develop eating independence. He totally got it and suggested we try to make something to address the problem.
Discovering I Wasn’t Alone
Several months and many prototypes later I was at a moms’ meet-up when snack time rolled around. Without thinking much of it, I pulled one of our prototype cases out and let my daughter be on her way. When the other mothers saw how easily my daughter was self-feeding (and with no mess!) they said they wanted some for their kids. And voila! Here we are.
Once I realized I wasn’t alone in my struggles, I told my husband I wanted to bring this to market and EasyPouch was born. It’s been a long road to travel but I’ve loved every minute of it. It’s been really wonderful meeting all the moms along our journey and watching our product help kids learn to self feed. Easy Pouch: Self Feeding Made Easy and Less Messy
